Salmon

Summer: Intercepting a 35-pound fall salmon bound for Idaho is one a heck of a battle for both experienced and beginner anglers. In this fishery boats anchor up in known slots of the river where salmon travel and fish with spinners and wobblers. A relaxing way to fish, yet very exciting when a fish slams your rod and strips line from your reel.

Steelhead

Both winter and summer steelhead are strong fighters, at times leaping far into the air while making numerous aggressive runs. Truly one of the most exciting and fun to catch fish available in the northwest.

Walleye & Bass

Warming water temperatures in spring sends monster walleye in search of most anything that comes within striking distance. Whether it’s a lure, a minnow, an imitation crankbait or night crawler on a worm harness.

Sturgeon

Best sturgeon fishing on the lower Columbia river in Astoria is May through July. The mid river from Longview to Portland is best February through April. The area below Bonneville Dam is best for oversize sturgeon December through January and May through July.
